Throwing themed party starts with the invitation. Today I’m sharing three fun and easy ideas for getting your party started right. Plus, I’m offering all of them as FREE printable invitations!! Don’t you love free printables?
RACE CAR PARTY INVITATION
This RACE CAR party theme would be so fun. One great thing about it is that it can be done any time of the year and can be customized to your child’s favorite racing team or colors. It would be so fun to have them decorate a race car out of apple boxes or paint pinewood derby cars and have a race!
I purchased a set of three race cars at Dollar Tree and attached one to the “road” on the 4 x 6 invitation. Here is a Race Car Set of 50 that is inexpensive on Amazon. And, there are so many really fun race car party supplies that will have your party done in no time!

ARMY PARTY INVITATION
This Army party invitation printable can be used for an Army bootcamp party. I think this would be perfect for kids ages 7-12. They are super active and tend to get a little crazy, so why not set up a few training excercises and obstacles to run them through to help get their wiggles out? Add a little camouflage face paint and a few army party supplies and you’re all set!
The plastic army men that I added to the photo came in a bag of 48 from the Dollar Tree – that is pennies per invitation! Here are some Green Toy Soldiers on Amazon for about $2.00 per 50.

SWIM PARTY INVITATION
Last, who doesn’t love a splash or swim party?! I have a birthday in December and I longed for a swim party! So, remember, they aren’t just for summer – most cities have an indoor pool! I actually tried writing the invite details directly on the flip flop with a sharpie, but that didn’t work, so I just printed it out using a cute font and taped it to the back and added a cute ribbon to the front. I bought the flip flops at the Dollar Tree and you could give one out with each invite or try to match sizes with each child invited!
