The fun continues with post #2 about this cute Vintage Airplane baby shower I did for my niece. Today I’ll be sharing the FREE printables, favors and fun activities we did at the shower.
I followed my Rules for Hosting a Shower on a Budget and prepared 3 activities for the guests.
Vintage Airplane Shower Activities:
The first was Advice Cards. To help it fit with the Vintage Airplane theme, I ordered these Vintage Postcards on Amazon and asked guests to fill in advice to the new mom on them and slip them into the cute little suitcase. This was something that the guests could do while they mingled and it was helpful to the mom!
The second activity let guests get a little crafty! I ordered these 1 1/2″ Unfinished Wood Blocks on Amazon and painted them 4 different colors. Then I pre-cut letters using my silhouette machine and some squares of patterned paper and let guests create custom baby blocks.
The last activity we did was play Baby Shower Bingo with my free printable bingo cards (available here). The opening gift portion of a shower can be really boring for guests, but this gets them involved and turns it into a game with fabulous prizes! It was really fun!
As I mentioned in my decorations and food post, I created simple printable signs to use throughout the party to help theme each area. I just purchased clip art on etsy and used that to make my own signs. They are really simple, but I figured I would offer them here in case you’re looking to do the same thing.
Vintage Airplane Shower Favors
I have a thing for cotton candy. I’ve turned them into party favors here and here and may go on an on about it on Instagram. So, the fact that the blue cotton candy looks perfect for clouds – I HAD to do it. Had to. I filled a large suitcase with individually bagged poufs that had a cute little tag that said “Thanks for flying Kersavage Air”. Simple and sweet.
