St. Patrick’s Day Activities for Kids

We are all set for St. Patrick’s Day! No pinching at our house! Thanks to Oriental Trading for sending me some amazing supplies to use for this fun party – we had a great time and I hardly lifted a finger! We invited a few of my nieces over for an afternoon of St. Patrick’s Day activities to get them all set for the holiday next week.

Artsy Fartsy Mama offers these FREE Printable St. Patrick’s Day Bingo cards. I use her designs for every holiday and party. They are always free and they are always so adorable! The gold chocolate balls from Oriental Trading were the perfect bling to add for the square markers.

St. Patrick’s Day Charm Bracelets

These turned out super cute and the girls had a lot of fun making them! It turns out my nieces go for the cute items over the kitschy items I’ve given them in the past (I thought the green mustaches from a few years ago were hilarious and cute!). The green round beads paired with the darling St. Patrick’s Day charms were the perfect fit for these sophisticated ladies.

St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Shirts

This was my favorite project. I purchased plain white cotton t-shirts and used my Silhouette machine to cut out a shamrock shape out of cardstock paper. We wore food handling gloves and used this Tulip Fabric Spray Paint to make the shirts. It was SO SIMPLE! We just pressed the shamrock onto the shirt so the paint wouldn’t bleed. Then just squirted the paint (it comes in little squirt bottles) all around, lifted the cardstock shape off and let it dry for one hour. Ta-Da! Super cute, right?

We decorated sugar cookies with green frosting, the gold chocolate balls and these cute gummy rainbows. I love that the rainbow gummies come individually wrapped and they really were perfect for these cookies! I wish I had known about them when I threw this rainbow themed party for my daughter!

St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Trap Box

It’s tradition! Each year I read my kids this poem and we make a Leprechaun trap box to have filled with goodies on St. Patrick’s Day. We used these white gable boxes and St. Patrick’s Day themed foam stickers to decorate one for each girl. Now they are all set to leave it out the night before St. Patrick’s Day!

I put up a few simple decorations that made the party space so festive and fun! This Rainbow Tissue Fringe is actually a table skirt but I hung it from the archway separating my dining room from my family room. Then I added a few Shamrocks and we were ready to party!
