When planning a Christmas party for kids, I always come up with a plan that has them alternating between activities that are sitting vs activities that have them up and moving. The Christmas crafts for kids I’m sharing today are perfect for a school Christmas party! My kids (ages 3 and 6) loved making them. Last week I shared my Christmas party games for kids and they will make up a good portion of the party. Today want to show you the cute Christmas crafts (one even doubles as the treat!).
I have had so much fun finding Thanksgiving activities for kids that will be perfect for my daughters first grade class! They watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving in school each year. Her teacher wanted some Charlie Brown Thanksgiving activities to go along with that. Oriental Trading to the rescue! They sent me these darling supplies for our Thanksgiving kids table as well as Thanksgiving coloring placemats and Thanksgiving thankful wheels!
Thanksgiving Activities for Kids
There are a few essentials for Thanksgiving with kids. A plastic table cover for the kids table and paper goods that make clean up a snap! You know the toddler feeding rule – DON’T GIVE THEM MORE THAN YOU WANT TO CLEAN UP! 🙂 I think of that each time I pour my 3 year old a drink.

The Construction birthday party we had for my son was a lot of fun to plan! We loved coming up with the construction games for kids to play and the construction crafts. I loved taking ordinary party games and giving them a construction party theme! It made party planning so easy! So, take these construction party ideas and your kids will thank you! Three year olds can vary so much on the ability spectrum and these games were easy to adapt to them.
I’ll detail the games, crafts, favors and invitations below.

Each year we attend a Trunk or Treat in my in-laws neighborhood. It is amazing to see the trunk or treat decorating ideas people come up with! My favorite part about a Trunk or Treat is that it brings everyone outside and it feels like a PARTY! I wanted to create an easy trunk or treat idea to share and came up with my Trunk or Treat Monster! Isn’t it cute?! It took about an hour to assemble the decorations and about 30 minutes to put it all up. Not bad for a totally awesome trunk! My neighbors thought I was a little odd staging this in my yard in September, but that’s what bloggers do. And, now it is all ready to put up on Halloween!
**Now, a word on adhesive. Use painters tape or masking tape if you are adhering something to the paint of your car.
***My Trunk Or Treat round up has over a dozen Halloween trunk decorating ideas and I’ll add this over there to. Be sure to check it out!

I love all of the Unicorn birthday party ideas out there right now! They are so perfect for my 6 year old daughter! We have been in love with all of the Unicorn headband crafts but so many look really complicated or not kid friendly (meaning, they may get destroyed in 2 hours and you don’t want to have spent more time than that to make them). I set out to create an easy to duplicate Unicorn headband and I think you’ll see that I did just that! You don’t even have to try to form the cone/horn piece! Let me show you what I mean.
Has your house caught the FIDGET SPINNER bug yet? They are everywhere and I have to admit, they are pretty fun to play with! My nephew knows how to make a fidget spinner and made some for himself and his siblings. I think building your own fidget toy is a great way to encourage mechanical minds! This fidget spinner pinata would be perfect at a tween birthday party! It is made of common products and only took about 1 hour to make (it may have gone faster if I weren’t stopping to take pictures) and about $5 in supplies (including the oatmeal in the can). If you’ve ever looked at buying a pinata for a party, they can be really pricey! Add to that the cost of the candy and it can break your budget!
If you’re hosting a fidget spinner birthday party, giving a fidget spinner as a party favor is a no brainer! But I really think these glow party supplies work so great with the fidget spinner party theme!

I have the feeling Shopkins costumes are going to be big this Halloween. These sunglasses are a simple way to make a fun Shopkins Apple Blossom costume for a birthday party, halloween or just a day of fun! My daughter LOVES Shopkins and has amassed quite a collection. When I made her Beanie Boos sunglasses, I automatically thought of Shopkins with their big colorful eyes. Apple Blossom is especially cute and would be a super simple Halloween costume. Just put on these glasses with a green shirt and you’re all set! But, they’d also make a really fun party favor at a Shopkins birthday party!
