It is peach season here in Utah and I personally feel like we have the best peaches around! I love to peel them and eat them fresh, but look forward to making homemade peach ice cream and peach crisp each year with them! I promise, it is not hard to learn how to make homemade ice cream, especially if you have a Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt and Ice Cream maker. When got my cuisinart ice cream machine a few years ago I didn’t realize how much I would use it! Because it is so easy to use, we have so much fun customizing the flavors to what we love! This homemade peach ice cream is a cross between peaches and cream and my favorite peach crisp recipe because of the addition of one special spice. You’ll want to add this to your favorite homemade ice cream recipes for sure!

When I set out to plan this Unicorn party I started on Pinterest (probably like most of you) and found some really amazing ideas! What was harder to find were ideas that were easy to duplicate. My budget and party plan didn’t really allow for one of those amazing Unicorn cakes, but I really wanted a Unicorn centerpiece. I think you’ll find that the Unicorn party decorations I made are not only easy to do, but great on your budget and time! The food at any party is my favorite part and this Unicorn party food was really fun to plan! I’ll share the rest of the Unicorn party crafts and activities in a second post. For now, onto the party decorations and party food!
At our Unicorn party last weekend with my nieces I made some super delicious and sticky Unicorn Marshmallow Popcorn. It was pink, fluffy, sweet and so yummy! The recipe is simple enough if you have ever made rice crispy treats, but the addition of jello powder to the recipe adds the cute pink color as well as FLAVOR! I can’t wait to try this recipe again with other flavors – it was amazing!
At our back to school dinner tomorrow we will introduce our back to school theme for the 2017-2018 year. When I heard the Mormon Tabernacle choir sing Fill the World with Love by Petula Clark recently, I knew this would fit our family goals and purposes perfectly. Sending my little lady into 1st grade has me in all sorts of emotional turmoil! She’ll be gone all day! I’m a bit of a mess, so hopefully this little message will help both of us.

I love all of the Unicorn birthday party ideas out there right now! They are so perfect for my 6 year old daughter! We have been in love with all of the Unicorn headband crafts but so many look really complicated or not kid friendly (meaning, they may get destroyed in 2 hours and you don’t want to have spent more time than that to make them). I set out to create an easy to duplicate Unicorn headband and I think you’ll see that I did just that! You don’t even have to try to form the cone/horn piece! Let me show you what I mean.
Has your house caught the FIDGET SPINNER bug yet? They are everywhere and I have to admit, they are pretty fun to play with! My nephew knows how to make a fidget spinner and made some for himself and his siblings. I think building your own fidget toy is a great way to encourage mechanical minds! This fidget spinner pinata would be perfect at a tween birthday party! It is made of common products and only took about 1 hour to make (it may have gone faster if I weren’t stopping to take pictures) and about $5 in supplies (including the oatmeal in the can). If you’ve ever looked at buying a pinata for a party, they can be really pricey! Add to that the cost of the candy and it can break your budget!
If you’re hosting a fidget spinner birthday party, giving a fidget spinner as a party favor is a no brainer! But I really think these glow party supplies work so great with the fidget spinner party theme!

Boy, am I ready to go out to lunch with my girlfriends! I LOVE the fun and flexibility of summer break, but it feels like I haven’t seen my girlfriends in FOREVER! Family reunions, vacations, camps, etc. keep everyone out of town and going from one activity to the next! I thought this back to school gift would be the perfect thing to give my them. I’m hoping they will drop their kids off at school that first day, draw a hot bath with the bath bomb and soak in it while sipping an ice cold Diet Coke and eating the chocolate. Sounds heavenly right about now, doesn’t it?
