For a bride on a budget, renting your bridal gown is a great option. It allows you to wear a gown that costs much more than your budget allows, at a fraction of the price. There are a couple of vendors locally that specialize in renting bridal gowns.

The first is Gowns by Pamela. I rented my wedding gown from them in 2007 (see photo above) and loved my experience. Located in Provo, Utah they offer a wide variety of styles. Their gowns are custom creations rented as tops and bottoms that can be mixed and matched to create a unique and beautiful dress.  Because the top and bottom are separate, the sizing on them can be different and therefore provide you with the perfect fit. The price includes alterations, cleaning and the rental. They also offer rental on accessories, veils, slips and headpieces to their bridal gown rental customers. I didn’t find a price range on their website, but I remember mine was $370 five years ago with my dress, slip, sash and veil.

The second is Bridal Brilliance Rentals. Located in Syracuse, UT they rent brand name gowns and their inventory changes frequently to offer the latest trends in bridal attire. The price includes the rental (including a time frame for bridal photos as well as the wedding day rental), with a $60 cleaning fee in addition to the rental price. Their price range is $100 – $500 for gowns and they also offer accessories, slips, veils and headpieces to complete your look.

Both locations operate by appointment only. If you’re in the market for a bridal gown, be sure to consider the option to rent!
