Easy Printing and Assembly Directions For Your Party Decorations (Kid-Friendly!)
Print your St. Patrick’s Day party decorations on a good quality cardstock for best results. Regular paper is a bit too thin to work well for these decorations. Cardstock will help your printables have better structure and keep their shape, plus it’s easier for little hands to work with! Some of these decorations can even be saved to be used year after year, like the banner! This helps create memories by establishing a family tradition for future March 17th celebrations!
Lucky Banner
Cut out each piece of the banner (this is a great job for older kids or parents), punch holes in the top corners of each piece. Let kids help thread a length of ribbon or cute string through the individual pieces—they love this part! Space the banner pieces out together and secure them on the back with a little tape. I usually leave a few inches in-between each flag. Leave about 6-10 inches of ribbon on either side so you have room to adjust the banner, and let the kids help choose where to hang it!

Signs and Food Labels
Cut out and simply fold along the dotted line, even young kids can help with the folding! These work beautifully on your dining table to identify different party foods and drinks with silly names that make kids laugh. Adjust them how you want them and stand them up. Kids love seeing “Leprechaun Treats” or “Pot of Gold Snacks” instead of regular food names!

Gift Tags
Cut these out and let kids decorate the backs with drawings or stickers if they want to personalize them for party favors. If you want to use them as tags or hanging decorations to enhance the spirit of Ireland throughout your space, just punch a hole at the top and thread with ribbon or string, perfect for little fingers to help with! You can also use them as seating assignments by adding a name to each one.

Napkin Rings
Cut these out and bring the ends together, overlapping them. Secure with a little bit of glue or tape. When you are ready to use them for your party, let kids roll the napkins and stick them through the napkin holders. They get such a kick out of this job! These add such a festive touch to your dining table and make kids feel like they’re eating at a fancy restaurant!

Cupcake Toppers and Wrappers
Print as many as needed and cut them out. Kids can help wrap the wrappers around the cupcakes, overlapping them a bit (with adult supervision). Trim the wrappers (top, bottom and sides) if using for mini cupcakes and secure with glue tape or regular tape. For the toppers, simply cut them out, tape a toothpick to the back and let older kids gently place them onto each cupcake. Kids love making these party desserts that capture the spirit of Ireland, and they’re so proud to show them off!

Creative Ways to Use Your St. Patrick’s Day Party Decorations with Kids
Need some party inspiration? Here are a few quick ways families can use these St. Patrick’s Day party decorations to bring the celebration to life on March 17th and create magical memories with kids:
- Family Decorating Time: Make hanging the Lucky Banner a special family activity! Let kids choose where it goes and help secure it. They’ll be so excited to show friends and family what they helped create.
- Dining Table Decor: Create an extra fun dining table setup that kids can help with! Let them scatter the gift tags (kids love assigning seats), place the napkin rings at each setting, and position the signs as centerpiece accents alongside gold coins, clover confetti, or other themed items they’ve helped gather.
- Leprechaun Surprises for Kids: Gift tags are perfect for those magical moments! Leprechauns love to leave little gold wrapped candy treats or gold coins for kids overnight. They also love to get into mischief like turning milk green and even upending furniture sometimes. Kids wake up SO excited to find the gift tags used as the leprechauns’ “calling cards”—it makes their lucky day truly magical!
- Kids’ Baking Projects: Let children help with the cupcake toppers and wrappers! Not only are these great for topping and wrapping muffins and cupcakes, but kids can stick the toppers into soft cookies or gold wrapped candy like Rolos, they love being in charge of the party dessert spread.
- Classroom Party: These party decorations are perfect for a fun-filled St. Patrick’s Day party in the classroom. They create fun and magic while being easy to use and FREE!
