Chex Mix Easter Nests
Delicious Easter treat, the recipe for Chex Mix Easter Nests!
Since Easter is just around the corner, I decided to combine two of my favorite things: gooey Chex mix and Cadbury mini eggs.
Typically you see cute little “nests” made out of chow mein noodles, but I think they taste like cardboard. So I set out to find something that still looked like a nest, but that I could actually swallow voluntarily.
I LOVE this delicious Chex mix recipe and it made the perfect little nest for my chocolate. Try these simple Chex mix Easter nests for yourself!

Chex Mix:
Combine in a large bowl:
- 1/2 box of Chex cereal (any variety)
- 1/2 cup Shredded sweetened coconut
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
In a saucepan melt:
- 1/2 c. Karo Syrup
- 5 TBSP. of butter
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Bring sauce to a boil and allow to boil for 1 minute while you stir it. Remove from the heat and pour over the cereal mixture and toss to coat.
Then I pressed them into muffin tins lined with cupcake wrappers and topped them with Cadbury mini eggs. Luckily, making the 24 we needed for our friends and neighbors still left about 1/2 the mixture for me and Lucy to eat! 🙂
These are so cute! Thanks for sharing at Pinworthy Projects. Featuring you on Thursday!

Thanks Kara – they were super yummy and really simple to put together – best of all they aren’t the cardboard tasting chow mein noodles! 🙂 I’ve got a few boxes of Chex cereal if you need to borrow some to make your own!
These are so adorable and look so so good!!
