100th Day of School Activities
Learning can and should be a fun and engaging process! These school center ideas will help you plan a fun day while the kids are still learning! They can be adapted to the grade level you teach. We at Events to Celebrate LOVE that teachers celebrate the 100th day of school and wanted to join in on the planning fun!
Pocket Cube Questions
This center features the pocket cube with different 100th day of school questions. Kids take turns tossing the cube and get to answer the question on top when it stops. Multiple rounds can be played since there are 6 sides and 6 questions to be answered.
Count to 100 Train
I used the 100 piece treasure box from Oriental Trading and placed a number on each item. As a teacher, you would hand out the various items to your students and have them come up one at a time in numerical order (based on whatever objects they have in their hands) and place them on the train. This is great for number recognition from 1-100.
Write 100 Sentences
This writing activity can be done as a group, but I think it would be really fun in smaller groups. I used the 200 piece Sentence Building Word Set from Oriental Trading for this activity. For this center, the kids would try to create as many sentences as they can from the word tiles and write them either on the white board in your classroom or a large notepad. The next group to visit this center would just build on that list until you reach 100 sentences.
If I Had $100
This activity would be my favorite to listen in on only because my cute daughter thinks $100 is a ton of money! It would be so cute to listen to the kids come up with what they would spend $100 on! The kids bounce the $100 bouncing ball to another member of the center group and when that person catches it, they answer the question and bounce it to the next person.
100 Ways to Snack
You could approach this 2 ways. First, ask each child to bring 100 of a small snack items and give suggestions. The second way is to just provide the snacks yourself. Once you have the snack items in bowls, give each child a ziptop bag and tell them to count out 10 from each bowl to equal 100 little snacks.
Snacks could be:
- Dried fruit
- Craisins
- Raisins
- Pretzels
- Gold fish crackers
- Popcorn
- M&M’s
- Skittles
- Cheerios
- Chex cereal
- Mini Marshmallows
- Mini Chocolate Chips
100th Day Certificate & Gift Bag
Oriental Trading has really fun 100th Day of School mementos. The certificate is a fun way to make the kids feel accomplished. The pencil, $100 bill bouncing ball is a great thing for them to take home to show parents a game they played at school and the 100th day of school pencil and rubber bracelet are going to be a big hit with your school kids!
