Having a December birthday, I grew up dreaming of having a swimming party or something that didn’t involve snow or ice. As my daughters first birthday approached I decided to disregard the freezing temperatures and create for her first birthday a garden party. Using lace, greenery, florals, soft colors and both wood and glass serving dishes helped create the romantic garden scene. Let me take you through the details so you can recreate this for your own special little lady for her birthday!

The Construction birthday party we had for my son was a lot of fun to plan! We loved coming up with the construction games for kids to play and the construction crafts. I loved taking ordinary party games and giving them a construction party theme! It made party planning so easy! So, take these construction party ideas and your kids will thank you! Three year olds can vary so much on the ability spectrum and these games were easy to adapt to them.
I’ll detail the games, crafts, favors and invitations below.

My cute little guy just turned 3 and he LOVES tractors! Not farming tractors (although, he does like those), the big CONSTRUCTION tractors! My husband uses them in his work and my son LOVES to go see “Daddy’s tractors”! In fact, he thinks any tractors we see as we are out and about are “Daddy’s tractors”. So, we planned a really fun Construction Birthday Party for him and a few of his friends and had loads of fun!
At our Unicorn party last weekend with my nieces I made some super delicious and sticky Unicorn Marshmallow Popcorn. It was pink, fluffy, sweet and so yummy! The recipe is simple enough if you have ever made rice crispy treats, but the addition of jello powder to the recipe adds the cute pink color as well as FLAVOR! I can’t wait to try this recipe again with other flavors – it was amazing!

I love all of the Unicorn birthday party ideas out there right now! They are so perfect for my 6 year old daughter! We have been in love with all of the Unicorn headband crafts but so many look really complicated or not kid friendly (meaning, they may get destroyed in 2 hours and you don’t want to have spent more time than that to make them). I set out to create an easy to duplicate Unicorn headband and I think you’ll see that I did just that! You don’t even have to try to form the cone/horn piece! Let me show you what I mean.
Has your house caught the FIDGET SPINNER bug yet? They are everywhere and I have to admit, they are pretty fun to play with! My nephew knows how to make a fidget spinner and made some for himself and his siblings. I think building your own fidget toy is a great way to encourage mechanical minds! This fidget spinner pinata would be perfect at a tween birthday party! It is made of common products and only took about 1 hour to make (it may have gone faster if I weren’t stopping to take pictures) and about $5 in supplies (including the oatmeal in the can). If you’ve ever looked at buying a pinata for a party, they can be really pricey! Add to that the cost of the candy and it can break your budget!
If you’re hosting a fidget spinner birthday party, giving a fidget spinner as a party favor is a no brainer! But I really think these glow party supplies work so great with the fidget spinner party theme!
