When planning a Christmas party for kids, I always come up with a plan that has them alternating between activities that are sitting vs activities that have them up and moving. The Christmas crafts for kids I’m sharing today are perfect for a school Christmas party! My kids (ages 3 and 6) loved making them. Last week I shared my Christmas party games for kids and they will make up a good portion of the party. Today want to show you the cute Christmas crafts (one even doubles as the treat!).

Decorating a Gingerbread House is an iconic Christmas activity! Providing them for an entire class of kids and coordinating them getting home in one piece is daunting. Luckily, these foam Gingerbread Houses save the day! They do require the use of foam glue to put together, which means there is some drying time. They took about 20 minutes to put together. If you are using these for a class party in the younger grades (1-3) I recommend one parent helper for every 3 kids. The best part is that they will stay looking good for WEEKS, the kids can personalize them a bit and if they want to follow exactly, there is a photo included in each one they can follow.

Hot Cocoa Bar with Color Your Own Mug

This craft combines two activities in one station! The kids will get to color the insert for their Hot Cocoa mug, and have a warm cup of Hot Cocoa complete with marshmallows and a candy cane! If you don’t have a Hot Cocoa Maker (like we used at this Polar Express party), I recommend using a slow cooker (or even an InstantPot on the “Keep Warm” setting) to keep the Hot Cocoa warm during the party.

Make your party twice the fun by adding some fun Christmas crafts for kids of all ages! Then, throw in a few Christmas party games for kids and you’re done planning!
