I have the feeling Shopkins costumes are going to be big this Halloween. These sunglasses are a simple way to make a fun Shopkins Apple Blossom costume for a birthday party, halloween or just a day of fun! My daughter LOVES Shopkins and has amassed quite a collection. When I made her Beanie Boos sunglasses, I automatically thought of Shopkins with their big colorful eyes. Apple Blossom is especially cute and would be a super simple Halloween costume. Just put on these glasses with a green shirt and you’re all set! But, they’d also make a really fun party favor at a Shopkins birthday party!

Shopkins Apple Blossom Costume
Doesn’t she look so darling in them?!
Shopkins Craft Supplies:
- Paper – Green, Pink, White, Orange & Black (this would also look great if you did it using foam craft sheets)
- Sunglasses (get them as round as possible – these are from the dollar store)
- Cardboard “apple stem”
- Pink Smoothie Straw – to make the worm (I got these at Walmart)
- Glue Stick & Hot Glue Gun
Step 1: Draw and cut out the shapes you will need: 2 Leaves, 1 white 5-petal flower, 1 orange flower center, the whites of the eyes, the green of the eyes, white dots to accent the eyes
**The whites of the eyes was the trickiest part. I learned that it was easiest by placing my paper over the top of the sunglasses and using the rounded end of a pen, pressing the paper into the lens of the sunglasses. Then I was able to cut the shape of the sunglasses lens out. I tried tracing it, but that didn’t work as well as the pressing method. Then I used a paper cup to cut the half moon shape for the green.
Step 2: Using a glue stick, adhere the eye pieces to the lenses of the sunglasses. Then use a hot glue gun to adhere the stem and straw behind the sunglasses frame and the leaves and flower to the front of the frame. Accent with black eyelashes by hot gluing them to the back of the frames.
Step 3: Put those sunnies on and look Apple Blossom adorable!!
