I’ve got the best baby shower games for you! Here’s the deal, I’m not a fan of boring or long and drawn out shower games so you’re only gonna get the best of the best at Events to Celebrate. Baby showers should be full of laughter, sweet memories, and maybe just a tiny bit of chaos—in the best way. The right games can turn a quiet room into a party, get everyone talking, laughing and make the day truly unforgettable. Whether your guest list is all girlfriends, all family, coed, or a mix of everyone, these games are a fantastic way to break the ice and celebrate the new baby with fun and joy. Bonus: they’re simple to set up, fun to play, and don’t require anyone to sculpt a baby out of play-doh (unless you’re into that).
Here they are! Pick two or three that fit your guest list, time limit, and vibe. If you’re having a relaxed brunch, go for a few simple and fun baby shower games. And if you’re having a lively co-ed baby shower, maybe try a more active approach with friendly-competition relay races.

1. Talking Diapers
Set out a diaper bag (which can double as a baby shower gift!) stuffed with clean diapers and colorful markers. Ask baby shower guests to jot a funny message on the front of a diaper. When the new parents reach for a fresh diaper during those midnight changes, they’ll get a good laugh and hopefully feel all the love from their family and friends.
Supplies: pack of newborn size diapers and markers (use new markers with fresh ink to make sure the writing shows up)
Prizes: a sweet candle, lotion, or small gift card
Some of my favorites when I played this game were:
“HOT & READY!”
“There’s more where that came from!”
“I’ll meet you back here at 3 am”

2. Dirty Diaper Game or Poopy Diaper Game
Melt different candy bars in the microwave and then put them into a clean, numbered diaper. Baby shower guests then pass them around and try to figure out the candy bar in the diaper. They write their answers on a piece of paper. They really look like poopy diapers, but they smell like candy….hilarious and gross at the same time! The first person with the most correct guesses wins. Have extra prizes for ties!
Supplies: diapers, candy bars, printed sheets, pens
Prize: a fresh candy bar—of course!

3. Candy Bar Match Game
I played this game recently at a baby shower and was having way too much fun during this one to take a picture (sorry, but I did win 4 candy bars! Woohoo!). To make up for my lack of pictures, I made a free baby shower game printable. I kept it simple so you can print them on a coordinating colored paper to match the baby shower decorations.

Print a copy of the player card for each baby shower attendee. Purchase one of each of the candy bars to use as prizes. Read aloud the phrase and have guests try to guess which candy bar corresponds with that phrase. After reading all of the phrases, give the correct answer. The first person to chime in that they got the answer correct gets the candy bar.

4. Baby Shower Bingo
Hand out blank bingo cards and have baby shower guest fill them in with common baby items and baby shower gifts. As the guest of honor opens gifts, guests mark off the items. The first player to get bingo wins a prize. This is a great way to keep guests occupied during the (let’s face it) kind of boring gift opening.

5. Diaper Raffle
Mention it on your baby shower invitations: if guests bring diapers, they get raffle tickets. Draw a winner at the end of the party! It’s a great baby shower game that stocks the nursery.
6. Baby Bottle Chug
Perfect for coed baby showers! This is one of those hilarious baby shower games that gets the party going. Fill bottles with juice, soda, or your beverage of choice and have guests race to chug them. This is a quick game that creates a lot of energy, great photo ops and is really fun!

7. Diaper Bag Relay Race
Ready, set, go baby! This one’s part baby shower game, part comedy show—and it’s always a hit! This is an especially fun way to get men involved at a co-ed baby shower. Guests race to unpack and repack a diaper bag while “changing a baby” along the way. Here’s exactly how to play:
How to Play:
- Divide guests into two teams. (Four or more players per team works best, but you can adjust based on your group size.)
- Set up two identical diaper bags, each filled with the same baby items—diaper, onesie, wipes, burp cloth, pacifier, bottle, etc.
- Across the room (or yard), place two changing stations with a teddy bear or baby doll at each one.
- When the game starts, the first player from each team grabs the diaper bag, runs to the changing station, unpacks the bag, and “changes the baby”—put on the diaper and onesie, and uses each item in the bag properly.
- Once the “baby” is fully changed, the player repacks all the items (including the diaper)back into the bag, races back to their team, and hands the bag to the next teammate.
- The next person repeats the process. The game continues until every teammate has taken a turn.
- The first team to finish correctly wins! Appoint a judge (the mommy to be perhaps) to make sure that each player uses each item in the diaper bag at least once.
This one brings the energy, gets everyone moving, and results in lots of laughs and a little chaos—in the best possible way.
Supplies: 2 diaper bags, identical baby items, teddy bears or dolls, changing stations
Great for: Adding some friendly competition to your shower and especially for co-ed baby showers
Prize idea: Matching mugs or snacks
