Easy Printing and Assembly Directions For Your Printables
Print your printables on cardstock for best results. Regular paper is a bit too thin to work well for these decorations. Cardstock will help your printables have better structure and keep their shape. Some of these decorations can even be saved to be used year after year, like the banner.
Lucky Banner: Cut out each piece of the banner, punch holes in the top corners of each piece. Thread a length of ribbon or cute string through the individual pieces. Space the banner pieces out to where you like them along the ribbon and secure them on the back with a little tape to hold them in place. I usually leave a few inches in-between each flag. Leave about 6-10 inches of ribbon on either side so you have room to adjust the banner as needed when you hang it.

Signs and Food Labels: Cut out and simply fold along the dotted line. Adjust them how you want them and stand them up.
Gift Tags: Cut these out and use them however you wish. If you want to use them as tags or hanging decorations, just punch a hole at the top and thread with ribbon or string.
Napkin Rings: Cut these out and bring the ends together, overlapping them. Secure with a little bit of glue or tape. When you are ready to use them, roll a napkin and stick it through the napkin holder.

Cupcake Toppers and Wrappers: Print as many as needed and cut them out. Wrap the wrappers around the cupcakes, overlapping them a bit. Trim the wrappers (top, bottom and sides) if using for mini cupcakes and secure with glue tape or regular tape. For the toppers, simply cut them out, tape a toothpick to the back and gently place onto each cupcake.
Easy Ways to Use Your Printables
Need some inspiration? Here are a few quick ways to use these printables to bring the St. Patrick’s Day fun to life:
- Mantel Display: String the Lucky Banner above your fireplace, on the wall, or over a door or window.
- Table Decor: Scatter the gift tags on your table and use the signs as centerpiece accents.
- Surprise the Kids: Gift tags are great for leprechauns that love to leave little gold wrapped candy treats for kids. They also love to get into mischief like turning milk green and even upending furniture sometimes. The gift tags can be used as their “calling cards”.
- Cupcake Toppers and Wrappers: Not only are these great for topping and wrapping muffins and cupcakes, but the toppers can also be stuck into a soft cookie or gold wrapped candy like Rolos.
- Party Fun: Hosting a St. Patrick’s Day get-together? These printables add instant charm with minimal effort.

To make the cutting go a little faster (and straighter), I used my favorite Fiskars paper cutter. It obviously won’t cut the rounded parts but it’s perfect for the straight lines. I also love using this glue tape for very easy decoration assembly.

If you love decorating with printables, I highly recommend the printer I use—it’s budget-friendly and doesn’t drain ink fast, which is a lifesaver when printing a lot! This Epson Ecotank ET-3850 is a great printer. I print A LOT of stuff and this printer has been by far the most efficient one I’ve owned so far.
Have fun decorating, and may the luck of the Irish be with you! I’d love to hear how you used these decorations—let me know in the comments how you made your space festive for St. Patrick’s Day!
