Construction Party Games, Crafts, Favors and Invitations
Today I’m sharing our latest construction party with the construction themed party crafts, games, and party favors we used! Head over to this post for the food and decor!
The Construction birthday party we had for my son was a lot of fun to plan! We loved coming up with the construction games for kids to play and the construction crafts.
I loved taking ordinary birthday party games and giving them a construction party theme. It made party planning so easy.
So, take these construction party ideas and your kids will thank you! Three year old kids can vary so much on the ability spectrum and these games were easy to adapt to them
I’ll detail the games, crafts, favors and invitations below for the construction party here. (Go here for the decor and food!)
4 Construction Games For Kids Party
1) Pin the Bucket on the Tractor
I used my Silhouette cutting machine to cut out the pieces for this tractor and the buckets. The pieces were then mounted onto a poster board. Adding the name of each kid on the buckets made it easy to remember who put theirs where. Because they are 3 I didn’t spin them around, but we did have them close their eyes.
2) Hammer the Nails
I took blocks of floral foam and wrapped them in caution tape. I added a few golf tees and we let the kids hammer them in! We used regular hammers because I didn’t have enough toy hammers and the kids did great with them!
3) Safety Cone Ring Toss
We took the safety cones from Oriental Trading and set them in a triangle pattern. We let the kids throw rings (glow necklaces) around them. Most had to get pretty close in order to be successful, but that made it extra cute. They were so proud of themselves!
4) Home Depot Bucket Tool Toss
We lined up 3 buckets from Home Depot (anyone else have a husband that buys one each time he goes?) and let the kids toss toy tools into them.
Construction Crafts for Kids
Party craft 1 : Construction tool belt
As the kids entered the party they were invited to the table to color these cute tool belts from Oriental Trading. They are on really thick paper and had an elastic to secure them in back.
Party craft 2 : Hard Hat Stickers
These plastic hard hats from Oriental Trading were the perfect party accessory! We gave each kid a sheet of construction stickers and let them decorate their hard hats!
Party craft 3: Tool Box Craft
Tool boxes are a must for a construction party! Although, they seem a little small as a favor box, they made the perfect craft! They came with writing on the side about being God’s tools, but for the sake of the party I covered them with a little name label for each guest. Inside each one were self adhesive foam stickers.
Party craft 4: Construction Party Favors
In addition to the all the cute treats I talked about in this construction party post, we gave the kids a few fun toys to take home! I found the tape measures for $1 at Walmart and made a little party label to put on them. I got the cute tool key chains from Oriental Trading and included 2 in each bag. Additionally, they got 2 tool suckers, also from Oriental Trading.
Construction Birthday Invitation
This was as easy as it gets! I purchased this instant downloadable invitation from Creative Birthday for just a few dollars. I edited the text and sent it to be printed! Perfect, right?!
