At least 3 players (2 teams are best and this game works well for large groups).

How to Set Up The Game

Divide into two teams.
Choose a Clue Giver for each team (or one Clue Giver if there are only 3 people). The Clue Givers will be the only ones who know the Winning Word and Danger Word.
The Guessers listen to the one-word clues and try to guess the Winning Word without accidentally saying the Danger Word.

How to Play the Halloween Danger Word Game

Starting with Team A, the Clue Giver gives a one-word clue—one clue per turn—to try to help their Guesser(s) guess the Winning Word.
The Guesser(s) may guess after each clue, but they only get one guess per turn. The team can choose to guess as a team or the Clue Giver can give one clue at a time to each team member.
If the Guesser(s) guesses the Winning Word correctly, their team earns a point.
If they accidentally say the Danger Word, the round immediately ends and the other team scores the point instead.
If no one guesses the Winning Word or the Danger Word, play then switches to Team B for an opportunity to give a clue for the same card.
Once someone guesses the Winning Word or the Danger Word, play continues with the other team drawing a new card.
Continue until each team has had an equal number of turns or until you’ve used all the cards.

Winning the Game:

The team with the most points at the end wins!

Fun Halloween Twist

Trick or Treat Penalties: If a team says the Danger Word, they must take a “trick” (like acting like a zombie, howling like a werewolf, or doing a silly dance) before the next round begins.
Speed Cauldron Round: Put a 60-second time limit with a timer, and see how many Winning Words the team can get right. Here’s how to play:

Speed Cauldron Round (Fast-Paced Version)

Set a timer for 60 seconds. One team gives clues until either:

The Guesser guesses the Winning Word and that team scores a point. If they score a point, they keep drawing cards and giving clues until the timer runs out.
OR the Guesser accidentally says the Danger Word and the other team scores a point.

2. After that, the round ends and the other team takes their turn with a new card.
