Valentine’s Day Class Party Game

| | |

I have loved being the room mom for my daughters class at school so much this year! Planning the class parties has been my favorite part! I’ve learned that the class party games are super important to the energy at the party. Thanks to Oriental Trading for sending me the little toys to use in this fun one I’m about to show you! As I was preparing the Valentine’s Day class party game we’ll do in a few weeks I added this fun Valentine’s Punch Board as the prize element to Valentine’s Day Bingo! I know the kids are going to love it! Instead of just handing them a prize when they get BINGO, they get to punch a cup for their prize! Fun idea right?!

The Valentine Punch Board was super easy to make. Since the BINGO cards were a free printable from the ever talented Artsy Fartsy Mama, spending a few dollars on prizes and punch board supplies was no biggie! Let me explain how it is done:

Valentine’s Day Punch Board DIY

  • Supplies Needed
    Assorted Toys and/or Treats
Foam Core Poster Board (I found mine at the dollar store)
    Paper Cups
Tissue Paper (cut into squares large enough to cover the top half of the cups)
    Rubber Bands
    Hot Glue Gun

Step 1

Place a prize inside each cup. Add a square of tissue paper to cover and use a rubber band to secure.

Step 2

Arrange all of the cups on the poster board into the shape of a heart.

Step 3

Taking one cup from the board at a time, add a bead of hot glue all around the bottom rim of the cup and place it back on the board. Continue until all of the cups have been glued to the board.

Embellish the poster board with a cute saying or fun designs. I wrote, “Take another little piece off my heart now baby” from a song.

Step 5

Just before using this at the party, I’ll use the tip of a very sharp knife to poke a small slit in the top of each cup. That helps the kids punch through the tissue paper instead of just pulling it off.

So, if you’re helping with a Valentine’s Day class party game, look no further! Print off those free printable Valentine bingo cards and make this easy punch board for the prizes! The kids will LOVE it!
