Pumpkin Cake Bars Recipe Instructions

This cake comes together in 7 simple steps!! There are no fancy baking techniques or weird tools involved. Just easy-to-follow instructions.

  1. Prep for Baking – Spray your jelly rolls pan, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and gather your ingredients together.
  2. Make Cake Mixture – In a large bowl, combine your cake mix, pumpkin, pudding mix, eggs, water, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. Transfer Batter to Baking Sheet – Once your cake ingredients are fully combined, pour the contents onto your sprayed jelly roll pan.
  4. Bake the Cake – Put your cake in the oven on the middle rack and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes (or until lightly golden). Once it has finished cooking, remove it from the heat and put it in the fridge to cool.
  5. Make Cake Frosting – In a large bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, cool whip and brown sugar. Beat this together with your mixer until you have stiff peaks.
  6. Frost the Cake – After your cake has cooled, remove it from the fridge and spread an even layer of your frosting across the whole cake. Chill the cake in the fridge until it is ready to be eaten!
