Of course, you don’t have to make a huge batch of these or bring them to other people. They are great just to have around the house or serve at a party. But, if you decide to turn this into a gift for your neighbors or friends, check out our free printable gift tags!

I’ll share more tips for turning them into a neighbor gift below, so stay tuned!

Cinnamon Almond Cooking Instructions

The smells that come from this recipe are to die for! Once you start baking these, your house is going to have that cozy, warm cinnamon smell that always seems to fill the air around the holidays. So if you haven’t grabbed your ingredients yet, get them now!

  1. First, preheat your oven to 225 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly spray a baking sheet.
  2. Then, add your egg whites and vanilla to your stand mixer or mixing bowl and beat them until you have stiff peaks.
  3. Next, add your nuts to the mixing bowl. Fold them into the stiff peaks until the nuts are fully coated with the egg whites.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Dump sugar mixture onto almonds to coat. Mix until the almonds are evenly coated.
  6. Once the almonds are coated, spread them onto the baking sheet in a single layer. This takes two, large 13X9 inch jelly roll pans.
  7. Bake the almonds at 225 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  8. Finally, take the almonds out of the oven and allow them to cool.

Tips for this Recipe

  • I like to share these as a gift using the 7X15 inch cone shaped bags. With these, I can make 6-7 bags for 3 lbs of nuts. I put about 2 – 21/2 cups of nuts in each bag.
  • You can use a variety of nuts, although almonds are our favorite! But walnuts and pecans are also tasty.
  • These are great to make ahead! They last all month so you don’t have to start delivering your neighbors treats as soon as they come out of the oven. Make them early, and just chill!

Turning these Cinnamon Almonds into a Neighbor Gift

Here you can see how I used some large bags and Christmas-themed ribbon to turn these cinnamon almonds into a cute gift to give away for the holidays.

For the bags, I used clear cone bags like these on Amazon. I couldn’t find the exact ribbon I bought for these, but here is a collection of festive ribbons you might like for holiday gifts like these cinnamon almonds!

Then all you do is fill the bags about 3/4 full with your sweet almonds and then tie them at the top.

Whether it’s neighbors, a close friend, your kid’s school teacher, your doctor, or another special person in your life, tons of people would love a treat like this!
