AMAZING “Last Disco” Bachelorette Party Ideas

| | |

Help your bride-to-be have the time of her life with these INCREDIBLE “Last Disco” bachelorette party ideas! All things sparkle, glam, and fun!

Recently I got to go on a bachelorette party weekend trip with friends and is was SO MUCH FUN! The theme was “Last Disco”, and let me tell ya, we partied our hearts out. And by partied our hearts out I mean lounged by the pool, drank virgin margaritas, and sang Taylor Swift at the top of our lungs. Pretty good stuff if I do say so myself haha.

Since the party weekend was such a good time, I wanted to share some of the highlights and my personal ideas for throwing the ULTIMATE “Last Disco” Bachelorette party.

“Last Disco” Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary/Invite

To kick off the bachelorette party ideas, I figured we would start with the beginning: the invite/itinerary.

I thought it would be helpful to show an example, so below is a picture of the itinerary we went off of for the bachelorette weekend. We opted for a relaxing/glam disco getaway over a clubbing/drinking disco party. I think it was the perfect thing for our group.

Sadly, I don’t have access to the the design (to share), but this can at least provide an example of design and potential activities! I thought it was WAY cute with the disco balls, twinkling lights, wedding ring, and party symbols.

Here are my tips for designing a bachelorette party itinerary/invite:

  • Specify the theme
  • State the bride’s name
  • Share the date(s) and time
  • Include any dress code requirements
  • Add the event location and address
  • Write the RSVP information (name and number)
  • Make it cute!
  • Send it out at least 2 weeks before the party – digitally or print

“Last Disco” Party Decor

When it comes to party decor, my biggest rule and piece of advice is to have a large visual focal point that fits the theme! Doing so can help make the theme clear and reduce the amount of decor needed to make the rest of the room feel themed.

Below is an image of the “Last Disco” photo wall that made a debut at the bachelorette party! It was sparkly, silver, and disco-packed. Perfect for the celebration.

In case you want to recreate something similar, here are some links for decor to make a Disco photo wall!

Disco Bachelorette Party Favors

While I loved the entire bachelorette party weekend, I really loved this little detail: welcome bags for each guest! When each girl arrived at the party, we were given a goodie bag filled with the bride’s favorite snacks, candy, drink, and some fun trinkets.

If you’re looking for a way to make the party feel more personalized, this is a great idea to help your guests learn a little something about the bride and feel connected to her. You could try including small items such as sunglasses, a key chain, snacks, chapstick, jewelry, hair accessories, nail polish, gum, or more.

To do this, simply purchase enough goodies for the number of bachelorette party attendees (and maybe 1-2 extra), put the items in a bag, and attach a small card to tag explaining what it is. Our bags came with a message saying “Thanks for celebrating the girl with the ring! This bag shares some of her favorite things.”

This idea could be a welcome gift for a party weekend or simply a party favor at the end of a bachelorette night. Either way, I can guarantee that your friends will enjoy it!

“Last Disco” Games and Activities

If you took a look at the “Last Disco” bachelorette party itinerary, you might’ve seen some fun activities we did including having a themed dinner, lounging by the pool, and painting pictures of the happy couple.

Those activities were also super fun, but I wanted to use this section to provide a whole collection of ideas for planning a Disco themed bachelorette party!

“Disco” Movie Night With all that wedding planning, I’m sure your soon-to-be-Mrs. could use a relaxing evening. If you have the time and want a slower-paced activity, watch classics like “Mamma Mia” and “Footloose” to feel a little groovy! These movies bring all the drama and romance with a bit of spunk and some incredible dancing/music. Perfect for a movie night with the girls.
Karaoke/ Lip Syncing Contest Let’s be real. Disco isn’t disco without a little karaoke and music!! So, grab your microphones and put on some tunes, because singing with the bride is a MUST! Channel your inner stage performer/pop star and sing along to love songs, oldies, and everything in between!
“Sparkly” Night On the TownFor the last night of our bachelorette party weekend, we did a “Disco” themed dinner. Essentially, all the girls got dolled up and wore their sparkliest outfits out to eat at a nice restaurant. This was a memorable way to embrace the theme. Regardless of whether you get dinner or not, you could also use this idea for any event going out (dancing, getting a treat, partying, etc.)
70’s Disco Skate NightLooking to get out of the house and move your body? Disco skate is a great way to get out in some vibrant, eye-catching outfits. It’s exhilarating, group-friendly, and relatively inexpensive. Overall, a great activity for bachelorette parties!
Glittery Painting ActivityAs a more chill activity, have your bach girls choose a photo of the bride and groom to paint (helps if you can send them the picture or share a physical print). Then send pictures of all of them to the groom and have him vote on the best one! This activity is SUPER enjoyable, creative, and low-key. And if you want to Disco-ify it, encourage all the girls to add an element of sparkle to their painting rendition OR paint on records/record covers.
Costume Contest and Walking the RunwayDisco is about going ALL OUT, so why not have your gal pals dress up to the extreme and then do a runway walk to show off their spunky looks. You could include colorful wigs, crazy makeup, and out-there clothing pieces. And of course, make sure to get photo evidence of the whole things with cute pics and videos.
Group Games Ok so these aren’t the most “Disco” themed, but I still think they are great to include in the festivities. A few ideas for games include, “He Said She Said”, a Bachelorette Scavenger Hunt, “Would She Rather”, Disco Bingo, and more!
“Color Me Groovy” Lingerie GameBefore the bachelorette party, each of us girls attending signed up to get the bride a different color of lingerie. This way, she could have a variety of styles and colors to choose from. Then at the party, we voted on names to match the lingerie. We decided to play where we came up with dessert names (and created a “dessert menu” for the groom on the honeymoon), but you could also choose names to match the theme of the bachelorette party or wedding!

I think any of these ideas could be super fun. When planning your activities, just be mindful of factors for the group such as cost, time, group interest, and more. Doing so will help it be enjoyable for everyone!

Bachelorette Party Snack Ideas

Since we were staying at an AirBNB together all weekend, the Maid of Honor provided LOTS of snacks. I thought this was a considerate gesture. There were snacks of all different types, that way everyone could find something they liked.
