As someone who has been on MANY a camping trip, I can say that camping trips ROCK! Camping is a really great way to unplug, enjoy nature, and spend time as a family.
However, if you go with kids, there is bound to come a time when they get restless and complain about being bored. (Please tell me I’m not the only one who has experienced this!)

“I SPY Things Around Camp” – Camping Scavenger Hunt
Picture this: you just got to your camp site and now you are working to set up your tent and getting a fire going. Your kids help out where they can, but there’s a few things the adults need to get done.
That is when you whip out this AMAZING camping game. To play, have your kids go around and try to spot as many of these items as they can in your general camping area. It will give your kids a little direction, time getting familiar with the area, and provide you with a bit of time to get the rest of camp settled. Genius! I know!
Pro tip: If you forget to print off the scavenger hunt before leaving, just take a screenshot on your phone and go off of that!

“I SPY Things on a Hike” – Camping Scavenger Hunt
Whether you are headed out on a simple nature walk or a serious hike, this printable can be a fun activity to stash in your hiking backpack. With both wildlife animals and natural elements on the list, your kids will love seeing what nature has to offer.
To play this I SPY game, simply print off the page and bring it with you on your next hike. (You could also screenshot it on your phone if that’s easier!) Then, look for each item on the list during your hike. To add to the fun, you could even try to take a picture of each item!
