Materials for this Rainbow Craft
I am a big craft fan, but I am especially fond of crafts that require minimal effort or materials. (And I am going to guess that you feel the same way!) Thankfully, this rainbow craft falls right into that category! With materials that you likely already have at home, it is an easy craft to throw together.
All you need is:
- 1 sheet Rainbow Craft Free Printable – This is the canvas for your kids to turn into a rainbow masterpiece!
- 1 box Fruit Loops (or a knock-off) – Don’t worry. You don’t have to go out an buy a new box of Fruit Loops. Probably 1-2 cups worth will be enough! Really, you just need enough to cover the rainbow portion of the printable.
- 1 bottle glue – Either stick or liquid glue will work for this
- 1 box crayons/colored pencils – This is optional, but if your child likes coloring, they can color first and then add the cereal on top
- 6 little bowls – An optional addition for helping sort out all the colors and keep them organized.
Fruit Loops Substitute: If you don’t already have Fruit Loops and don’t feel like running to the store, you could try replacing them with Fruity Pebbles, torn paper, colored pop poms, rainbow beads, painted noodles, or just skip the glue-on layer entirely! It’s a super flexible activity, which just warms my mama heart.
Rainbow Craft Free Printable
Attached below is my free downloadable rainbow coloring page/craft sheet. It features a rustic rainbow sketch with clouds on the ends, 6 layers, and the names of the colors in order! Happy crafting 🙂
