Thanksgiving Activities for Kids
I have had so much fun finding Thanksgiving activities for kids that will be perfect for my daughters first grade class! They watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving in school each year. Her teacher wanted some Charlie Brown Thanksgiving activities to go along with that.
Thanksgiving Activities for Kids
There are a few essentials for Thanksgiving with kids. A plastic table cover for the kids table and paper goods that make clean up a snap! You know the toddler feeding rule – DON’T GIVE THEM MORE THAN YOU WANT TO CLEAN UP! 🙂 I think of that each time I pour my 3 year old a drink.
Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Place Setting
For their cute little classroom Thanksgiving feast, these Charlie Brown paper goods are the perfect fit! I also made some popcorn corn on the cob snacks. I love popcorn on Thanksgiving because it doesn’t spoil dinner and gives them something munchy while they wait. On A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Snoopy serves popcorn, toast and pretzel sticks. These fit perfectly with the Charlie Brown theme!
Thanksgiving Craft for Kids
Corn on the cob popcorn is really simple to make. Show the kids how to make one and they can do the rest on their own! Fill a sandwich bag with popcorn and force it into one corner of the bag creating a football shape. Take a lime green napkin and unfold it. Fold opposite corners together to create a triangle. Place the popcorn in the napkin with 1/2 sticking out. Roll the popcorn in the napkin and secure the end with a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving sticker. Twist the bottom and fold it to the back and secure with tape.
Thanksgiving Coloring Placemat
Thanksgiving placemats (from Oriental Trading) make a really fun craft for kids to do! We’ve created our own leaf placemats in the past, but I love that these have no prep for them at all. As a mom, I’m plenty busy with cooking, so to be able to just pass these out with some crayons is awesome!
Thanksgiving Thankful Wheel
Each year we do a Thankful Tree for the month of November, but that is done as a family. These Thanksgiving Thankful Wheels are great for kids to make on their own and draw things they are thankful for.
So, whether you are looking for Thanksgiving kids crafts for your family or Thanksgiving activities for kids in your classroom, these require very little prep and all fit the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving theme!
I’ve got A LOT of other fun Thanksgiving crafts, games and activities detailed here, and here.
