Woodland Baby Shower

| | | | |

My sister and niece hosted the most beautiful Woodland baby shower for my nephews wife. Every detail of the shower was perfectly thought out. The Woodland themed decorations, the trail mix bar, the darling bear paw cookie favors and my favorite shower game of all – Baby Shower Bingo! Let me show you all of the darling Woodland themed details!

Woodland Theme Cake

Above all, the dessert table was divine! The cake was the centerpiece. It was made by Delish by Emmalee – you can find her on Instagram, but be warned, you will drool over her cake photos! Certainly this cake fit the Woodland baby shower theme perfectly! The layered chocolate cake was surrounded by a smooth vanilla swiss buttercream and filled with the most decadent chocolate mousse. It was heaven on a plate! She’s the same talent who did this lemon blueberry cake for the Vintage Airplane shower I helped with and I literally wanted to hide in the pantry and eat the entire cake!

Woodland Trail Mix Bar

Not to be outdone, the trail mix bar was delicious! Have you had the dark chocolate coconut almonds from Edward Marc? I didn’t know they existed (they found them at Costco)! They reminded me of the ones they sell at Trader Joes. I probably ate 36 of them! Other offerings were pretzels, a nut/raisin/chocolate trail mix, granola, mini chocolate chips, reeses peanut butter cups, marshmallows & teddy grahams. Then to send you into a blissful sugar coma, there were maple bar doughnuts from a local bakery. Those are my favorite doughnut! Yum!

The large backdrop piece is a frame with a burlap back. There is a postage stamp-esque watermark on the burlap. They hung twine and added pine cones, the tiniest preemie onesie and some faux greenery as well as a name plaque for the baby boy.  In addition, the table had a faux greenery garland and the table was draped in burlap and plaid runners.

They used copper serving pieces, wood serving pieces and glass. You can see the flowers behind the trail mix bar. They were in glass vases in a copper basin and it was stunning! Each time I went back (to get more of those dark chocolate coconut almonds) I noticed more cute details! A little bird peeking out in a discreet spot, the wood grain plates or the galvanized tin bucket for the trail mix bags. So much attention to detail, it was stunning!

At the entrance to the party they had this cute letter board with a tray of favors and cute decorations that drew you into the party space.

Woodland Baby Shower Favors

My darling 12 year old niece loves to bake and made the Woodland baby shower favors. She made chocolate bear paw cookies! The chocolate cookies are decorated with a small reeses peanut butter cup and roasted peanut half claws.

The printed thank you stickers as well as the baby shower bingo cards were designed by one of my talented nieces. She’s incredible!

Baby Shower Bingo

It’s my favorite shower game! It is so perfect because it gives guests something fun and interactive to do while the gifts are being opened! And best of all, I WON! Wahoo!

It was such a great opportunity to get together to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a new baby bear to our family! We are so excited for the parents! Above all, we can’t wait to meet this new baby bear!!
